Milford History
Milford is located along the Souhegan River and was a location for many mills throughout its history. The town is so named because of its location near a common crossing point for early settlers at the "mill ford". The town is also known as the "Granite town in the granite state' because of the many quarries that were in operation here during the late 1800s supplying granite for many of the buildings in NY.
